2017 volkswagen beetle se - american hot rods 1960's retro custom work done by duane mayer's american hot rods shop only 93 original miles. We received the car from morongo casino, stopped by the banning california dmv office to pay license fees, and the sales tax. Car was then driven straight home and garaged. The car was driven home on ca hwy 60 from morongo casino, which has a twisty section between beaumont and moreno valley (check it out on google maps,) and the car drove like it was on rails. Please examine the pictures, including the photo of the window sticker! Please review my ebay feedback. -issues that i am currently aware of with the car: none, it looks like a custom new car on a dealer's lot. I cannot list the car as new, because the original owner, morongo casino, registered the car as a company car. The casino then signed the pink slip (the title) over to us. The car came to us with new california plates and stickers for august 2017 through august 2018, they are still in their package. The morongo casino people put about 55 miles on the car, which included miles driven when american hot rods had it for their work on the car. It appears that morongo casino recently activated the sirius xm radio trial period. When the car was driven home the xm radio was working, and it sounded great. I do not know when the trial subscription runs out. - things which will go with the car:-the original window sticker for the car from riverside volkswagen -special tools for the adjustable suspension, which american hot rods put on the car. -the original owners manual (still in sealed bag), all the supplied booklets, and paperwork which came with the car. -the new california license plates and plate stickers. Please examine the pictures carefully. Concerning the d2 performance suspensionsome additional information i received with a phone call to the u. D2 distributor: d-20-13 is the part number for the units on the car, they are 36 way adjustable (dampening), with the supplied special tools. Those shock absorbers and brake kits can be found on many winning race cars in southeast asia, especially in the most famous "macau grand prix" and "asia pacific rally championship" event. D2 racing teams are around the world, in thailand, taiwan, china, hong kong. I have been with ebay since around 1999, and have sold several family cars, one terry resort travel trailer, and several motorcycles, along with many various small items. Please review my feedback. 2012 volkswagen gti review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Practical and fun hot hatch. introductionthe volkswagen gti is the hot version of the golf. Featuring a sports suspension, more powerful brakes, and a high-performance engine, the gti delivers performance and fuel economy, driving enjoyment and hatchback versatility. Both are hatchbacks. The only choice in mechanicals is a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission. driving a gti is great fun. It's a well-balanced machine and that makes it satisfying. Power is immediate and gratifying at any speed. It's quicker than a honda civic si. It's not as quick as the hot rods from mazda, subaru or mitsubishi, but it gets better fuel economy. It's more refined than the civic or the hyundai genesis coupe. The strong torque from the gti's engine extends across a broad range and it revs freely past its theoretical redline. This responsive power over a broad range of engine speeds makes it easy and enjoyable to drive, with quick response on tap any time. The dsg shifts quickly, offering excellent acceleration performance. Modulating power with the dsg is tricky, however, with a fine line between a little more power and a lot more power. there's good grip in corners, with summer performance tires and a sport-tuned suspension, yet it's civilized and compliant, filtering out some of the harshness of the outside world. inside, it's comfortable, with supportive seats and a businesslike cabin. Cloth and leather are available; we preferred the cloth for ability to grip the driver in corners. The seat bottoms are relatively long, which is good for long-legged drivers. Outward visibility is good. cargo capacity is a gti feature. The gti was all-new for 2010. the gti competes primarily against the faster, edgier, front-drive mazdaspeed3; the more powerful, all-wheel-drive mitsubishi lancer ralliart and subaru impreza wrx; the less-powerful, front-drive non-hatch civic si; and the similarly quick, rear-drive hyundai genesis coupe 2. 0t. The gti gets better fuel economy than any of them. Hybrid version joins lineup. introductionvolkswagen jetta comes in a range of models with a choice of engines. Among them is a new jetta hybrid model that joins the 2013 jetta lineup. The volkswagen jetta competes with compact cars such as the ford focus, chevrolet cruze and honda civic. the jetta sedan was redesigned for 2011 using less sophisticated technologies and lower-cost interior materials, with a lower price, a package with a great deal of value because the jetta solidity and quality was still there. For 2012, the sporty turbocharged jetta gli reclaimed some of the lost content. the jetta tdi sportwagen, with its turbo-diesel direct-injection engine (and especially its dsg twin-clutch automanual transmission), has gotten rave reviews for its performance and fuel mileage, 40-plus miles per gallon. That engine is an old but solid design. jetta se brings a 2. 5-liter five-cylinder engine that makes more power, 170 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, while getting almost the same fuel mileage. The five-cylinder, 20-valve 2. 5-liter engine is a volkswagen stalwart, with good power. It's capable of propelling the jetta se from zero to 60 mph in 8. 5 seconds with the 6-speed automatic, and powers jetta to a top speed of 127 mph. It's epa-rated at a combined 26 mpg, about what we got over nearly 500 miles of driving in a jetta sel automatic and sel manual. We prefer the very good automatic. most models offer a choice of 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. We found the sport mode for the 6-speed automatic sharp and effective. We used it in city driving, where it responded crisply on san francisco's hills, and in slow-and-go freeway traffic, where it kept the transmission in third gear rather than upshifting and downshifting all the time.
